Two of the three completed classroom blocks at the Bukatube Seed School, with access for disabled students provided.
The Bukatube Community Secondary School seeks to offer quality education to students from economically disadvantaged families, improve literacy rates, and create a nurturing learning environment.
In Q3 of 2024, the Xylo Group, with support from Climate Investor Two, sought to assist the Bukatube Community Secondary School by providing financing for the design and construction of key educational facilities. The project entailed the construction of two new classroom blocks, separate latrines for boys and girls, and the drilling and installation of a borehole to supply water to the sanitary facilities and for the irrigation of future vegetable gardens.
Mr Wancha Christopher, the school headmaster, pictured below with Doreen Birungi, the HSSE Manager of Xylo Group, was incredibly grateful for the donation and assistance with the design and construction of the classroom blocks and latrines. Mr Christopher anticipates that the quality of education will be enhanced by the project, as well as contributing to a conducive learning atmosphere for the students.
