Bio2Watt - Waste-to-Value

Bio2Watt developed and operated the Bronkhorstspruit Biogas Plant, Africa’s first industrial-scale waste-to-energy facility with private off-taker BMW. The plant has an installed capacity of 4.6 MW of electricity (COD achieved in July 2017) with a planned expansion of a further 5.2 MW to achieve a 9.8 MW installed capacity.

Through both Climate Investor One & Two, CFM is also supporting the growth of a pipeline of future Bio2Watt projects throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
